When is the best time to visit Boracay?
Anytime during the year is the best time to visit the white sands of Boracay. The very best time though to be in Boracay is in January, particularly the third week, as this is the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival. This is the Philippine equivalent to the Mardi Gras. The off-season months in Boracay are June, July and September, but this is the cheapest times to be in Boracay and the most peaceful times on the island.
Do I need a Visa to visit the Philippines?
Tourists carrying United Kingdom, Ireland, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and South African passports can enter the Philippines without need for registry for up to 21 days, valid six months from date of entry. Other nationalities should obtain a visa to enter the Philippines subject to a number of exceptions. It is best if you coordinate this information with a Philippine consulate near you.
Where do I stay in Boracay?
There are many beach resorts, inns and hotels that you can rent when on the island. You can book a room online or contact your travel agent to book a room for you. You can also roam around the island to see what rates are within your budget.
Can I use my electrical equipment in Boracay?
Definitely. Boracay has one of the well-established power lines in the Philippines. Electric power is available at 220 volts/60 cycles so bring a carry-along power adaptor for your appliances that hook up to only 110 volts.
Can I get Internet access in Boracay?
Internet access is available in many areas on the island. There are a number of Internet cafes that line up White Beach path and some big resorts carry their own Internet service provider system. If you wish to remain connected to the web, it is best that you choose a resort that offers this amenity.
