Business in Boracay

The best place to find out the normal business hours on the Island of Boracay is the Boracay Tourist Center located at the Boracay Boat Station 3. The hours of establishments on the island differ according to the type of business. There is the formal business, then there’s the service business and then there’s the entertainment business.

The formal business sector includes banks and government offices on the island. Banks follow the normal banking hours in the Philippines, which is between 9 am to 4 pm from Monday to Friday. There are ATM services though round the clock. Government offices located at Balabag Plaza are open from 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday. The Post Office though is open from 8 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday. Other private offices operate in the same hours as government offices.

The service business on the island of Boracay includes the hotels, inns and restaurants. Hotels and Inns are operational round the clock, though some pension inns or other boarding houses operate on normal business hours. As for restaurants, most are open as early as 9 am and closes only after the last customer leaves. Quite a few though are open twenty-four hours.

As for the entertainment scene, which are the bars and other watering holes on the island’s strip. Their operations vary on the type of entertainment they provide. Bars are open after lunch and operate well into wee hours of the morning. Other watering holes operate from sundown till sun up. This adds to the spice of the life on the island of Boracay, a jewel of sand and sun in the Philippines.
